Argentina is poised for a landmark wheat season, with the Bolsa de Comercio de Rosario (BCR) projecting a record 24.5 million tons of production—an increase from the earlier 23 million‑ton estimate.
The nationwide average yield is also expected to reach an all‑time high of 37.7 quintals per hectare (qq/ha), reflecting exceptional crop performance across the country.
In total, wheat has been planted over approximately 6.9 million hectares, reinforcing Argentina’s strategic role in global grain supply.
Compared with the previous “super‑campaign” of 2021/22, which reached 23 million tons, this year’s harvest would surpass it by 6.5% in total volume and by 2.7 qq/ha in average yield. Rising global demand, improved practices, and favourable climatic conditions are driving this new production milestone.
